How to Choose a Veggie-Centered Meal

  • Try something new! If there is a sale for a vegetable at the farmers’ market that you haven’t tried yet, why not research new ways to cook a dish that centers it? Additionally, farmers’ markets may include many different varieties and colors of the vegetables you are used to – it can be super rewarding to take a risk.
  • Check what is in season by month and make small talk with your local farmers. 
  • When you go grocery shopping, buy 2-4 different veggies and plan meals around them. That way, you are guaranteed to use your ingredients instead of letting them sit in the fridge!
